About Doombera

Doombera was born from a refusal.

A refusal to create more waste.
A refusal to participate in cycles that turn clothing into trash.

As women, we are taught to constantly change — trends, styles, identities — and with that comes accumulation. Closets full of pieces that once meant something, now discarded too easily.

I didn’t want to add to that.

I created Doombera out of the need to work with what already exists.
To transform instead of produce.
To reimagine instead of replace.

Every piece begins with something that already lived — fabric, garments, fragments of someone’s past.
Nothing is neutral. Everything carries memory.

This is not about perfection.
This is about texture, history, and reconstruction.

Doombera is wearable art made from what would otherwise be forgotten.
One-of-one pieces. No repetition. No mass production.

Just transformation.

Just continuation.
